Titre : | Use of phase change materials in refrigerated truck for passive temperature control of thermosensible products | Type de document : | texte manuscrit | Auteurs : | Omar Guendouz, Auteur ; Ahmed Bensenouci, Directeur de thèse ; Mohamed Teggar, Directeur de thèse | Editeur : | Laghouat : Université Amar Telidji - Département de génie mécanique | Année de publication : | 2021 | Importance : | 57 p. | Format : | 30 cm. | Accompagnement : | 1 disque optique numérique (CD-ROM) | Note générale : | Option : Energetics (Énergétique) | Langues : | Anglais | Mots-clés : | Phase change materials Charging/ discharging time Refrigerated truck Food | Résumé : | This work presents the use of phase change materials (PCM) in refrigerated trucks intended for the transport of thermosensitive products, such as foods, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, etc. The purpose of incorporating a layer of PCM bonded to the walls of the container is to maintain the transported products at the required temperature without the use of the refrigeration system. The consequences foreseen from this action are the reduction of the consumption of fossil fuel which represents a significant energy saving and the reduction of polluting and harmful emissions for the human being and for the whole planet earth. The PCM used in this study is water with a melting temperature of 0 ° C. The most important parameter to determine is the time necessary for a phase transition to be accomplished, for this three temperature values 2, 4 and 6 °C have been proposed to be the storage temperatures of the products transported during the period of the journey. The simulation was carried out using the Ansys Fluent software by the finite element method. The results obtained are very interesting and show that the charge / discharge time is proportional to the thickness of the PCM up to a certain value, this thickness will not have much influence on the time of the phase change. | note de thèses : | Mémoire de master en génie mécanique |
