There are two distinguished examples in literature that epitomises these two types ofteaching. Mr Gradgrind, a famous example in British literature is taken as a modelofauthoritarian teaching. And Mr Kitting, a professor ofliterature in the American movie "Dead Poets Society" is taken as an example of authoritative teaching, Who is more positive to creativity in education: an authoritarian or an authoritative teacher? Is it beneficial for a language learner to be creative? The article proves that authoritative teaching is open to creativity in comparison to authoritarian teaching that inhibits creativity in general.
