The lectures are recorded on DVD to provide the student with an authentic learning experience. The lecture extracts are taken from a range of academic fields, including banking, development economics, marketing, psychology and linguistics. The extracts have been chosen to be accessible to a general audience, while at the same time appealing to students studying these subjects.The 2009 edition of EAS Listening has been fully revised for ease of use. As well as a new format, the Course Book now comes with a book map, unit summaries, and a comprehensive glossary of terms. Each unit has weblinks offering additional information and activities, related to both listening skills and the topics covered in the units.
